audio engineering history

I began my audio education as a physics and computer music student at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where I studied with Joann Kuchera-Morin. I continued studies at Wesleyan University with Ron Kuivila, where I worked and assisted in the teaching of recording arts classes while pursuing a Masters degree in Ethnomusicology and Interactive Computer Media.

Since 1997, I have worked as a freelance engineer at many private California studios and at Cal Arts (Los Angeles). I have been the in-house digital audio engineer at Radical House Studio (San Francisco) since 2002, where I have worked on a variety of avant-garde, world music, jazz, and electronica recordings. I have also done mastering work for Oxford University Press, Golden Horn Records, Koch International Classics, and Albany Records. From 2005-2006, I was the lead engineer at ZB Stüdyo in Istanbul, where I worked on 11 albums, several feature film scores, and music for a popular TV series.
